Marija Finney
Marija is Co-Founder of Placemore Capital Inc. and has more than 25 years of success in institutional sales from her tenure with several large, global investment management firms such as Barclays Global Investors (now a part of BlackRock); Franklin Templeton Institutional, and TD Asset Management. While at BMO Global Asset Management, Marija was Senior Vice President and Head of Institutional Sales and Service charged with building a team and developing and executing a strategy to grow the firm’s institutional business. Part of the Leadership Team for Canada, she was also an active member of the Investment Review Committee, the Risk Management Committee, and the Global Relationship Management Committee.
Marija was previously a member of the Canadian Board of Directors for AIMSE, an Ambassador for WCM’s Women in Leadership, and is currently a Foundation Board member for United for Literacy, a national charitable organization. She graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Terri Troy, CFA, ICD.D
Terri is Co-Founder of Placemore Capital Inc. She is a senior investment professional with over 25 years of capital markets experience in equities, fixed income, private equity, infrastructure, real estate and private debt. From 2006-2018, Terri was CEO/CIO of the Halifax Regional Municipality Pension Plan. From 2000-2006, Terri was responsible for the investment strategy for RBC’s 33 global pension plans. Prior to RBC, Terri held previous roles at CIBC including corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, and wealth management.
Over the course of her career, Terri has held various leadership roles in the pension industry including Chair of the Board of Directors for the Pension Investment Association of Canada (PIAC), Chair of PIAC’s Investment Practices Committee, Chair of PIAC’s Government Relations Committee, member of the International Limited Partnership Association’s Education Committee, and is currently on ILPA’s Teaching Faculty. She has been a Corporate Director for a UK energy company and Canadian financial institution as well as an active member on numerous Investor Advisory Committees. Terri has an MBA from York University and an HBBA from Wilfrid Laurier. She also holds the CFA charter and completed the ICD Rotman, Directors Education Program.
